It was a very tough day for me. I was not even in the zone where painting is actually fun and uplifting. When I feel that way, I cannot tell whether I like the painting or not. I was exhausted feeling and stretched out psychologically. But somehow I made it through the day. I worked on one canvas and ended up painting another Daisies and Dandelions. I call this one Flowers from heaven.

Yesterday I participated in the event “Flat out under pressure” here in Greenville. It means the artist has 24 hours to complete a piece of art. We get our blank piece stamped on Friday around 10 am and have to return the completed piece on Saturday between 9 and 11 am. Because of the way I paint I thought I better have two canvas, we are allowed to do that. We only can turn in one finished piece though.

When my son Nathan came home last night I was happy. We went out to eat and I forgot all about the painting. He even complimented the piece, which is rare for him. After dinner I worked on it for three more hours. In all I worked on it for about 10 hours. I was happy when I woke up this morning all refreshed and much more neutral towards my piece. So here she is : Flowers from heaven
