Dogwood and Wisteria
Well it has to be some of my favorite things about living in South Carolina: Dogwood and Wisteria. Every Spring I derive so much delight from the flowering trees. There is a little white house on my street with 7 or 8 dogwood trees in front. It's a little wonderland. I don't know about you, but if I was a fairy, that's where I'd want to be.

Blooming trees transform Greenville into a fairy land
Had so much fun painting this red bud tree last week. I sat right outside my studio to do it.Good thing too. With all the rain we have been receiving, the lavender blooms were quickly replaced by lovely heart shaped leaves.

Autumn you always speak to my heart
I am so drawn to light and color. Every Fall and Spring I find myself communicating with colors. As I connect with the colors and forms, gently their music is played upon my heart. I am now parting with my Autumn painting. It is going to live in Australia. Occasionally a viewer makes such a connection with a piece that it touches deep cords upon their heart. And that is a very joyful occurrence for an artist.
